St Vincent's Hospital Florist

Located at the entry to one of Melbourne’s busiest private hospitals, St Vincent’s Hospital Florist was a small challenging space utelising every inch for storage. Bathed in floor to ceiling windows, the space delivers an abundance of natural light. Capitalising on this, a combination of natural timber finishes and whites deliver the perfect backdrop to the mix of vibrant coloured flowers and gifts.

The brief listed storage requirements as key, display racks to be visible to the 1,000s of cars that pass daily and a menu board, all within a fresh modern finish. Working within these guidelines with the designers to deliver a combination of materials consisting of pressed metal finishes on the counter’s sides, pine lining board for the white cladding wall finish visible on entry, a timber look vinyl floor and a beautiful custom library ladder on tracks allowing access to display cabinetry making the most of 4.5m ceilings.
